Brismedia has been copying video tapes to DVD disc & MP4/AVI digital files supplied on a USB key for

over 20 years from the same location in Arana Hills on the northside of Brisbane. We take great pride

in delivering the best quality VHS tape transfer to Digital available with fair pricing and friendly service.

Currently there are 3 digital file formats that we supply for the transfer of VHS and other types

of video tapes. The first is MP4 and it is by far the most popular choice for the following.

MP4: Is Easy to make backup copies

MP4: Plays on virtually all modern devices

MP4: Is supplied on a convenient USB Key.

MP4 Digital file format: Has become the most common way to play back converted video tapes.

They play on smart TV’s, computers, tablets, smart phones usually via a USB key. Each file can have up to

three hours of footage and are easy to copy. You can fit over ten hours of footage on a 16 gig USB key.

DVD Disc format: is for playing back in a DVD player. It may also play back on a computer if it has a

DVD player & software, however a lot of new computers don’t have DVD players and tablets / IPads can’t

play them. The maximum playing time per disc is two hours. DVD format is slowing fading in popularity.

AVI Digital file format: is suited to editing and long term archiving. The format is about nine times larger than the MP4 format but offers faster, smoother editing and being uncompressed slightly better quality and is easier to convert to other formats that will come in the future. It will NOT play back on most smart TV’s or tablets and is usually supplied on a USB pocket hard drive.
